Recently a friend of mine went on a first date to an ice cream shop and I thought it was such a great idea. To anyone, first dates and or blind dates can be pretty awkward, intimidating and uncomfortable simply because you are just meeting for the first time. But I thought an ice cream and doughnut date would be perfect to keep the atmosphere carefree and no-pressure. This way you can focus on just being relaxed and yourself and enjoying each others company. Whether it works out or not doesn't really matter because being open to meeting new people and trying new things is a part of growth and life.
Finding a good chambray shirt is always a top fashion priority for me. I know that when I do find one, I'll be wearing it endlessly and negate any shoppers remorse. Since we are on the topic of a first impression, I thought a chambray, leather and suede combo would be the most appropriate. A chambray shirt gives off a casual cool, the A-line skirt shows that you are trendy and chic and the leather jacket gives you an edgy rawness. I think the entire outfit is laid back and stylish, so it makes you seem approachable, friendly and interesting.
For accessories, I wanted to keep it hipster chic so I added a fedora and a rhinestone necklace for some needed drama that isn't overwhelming or intimating. I also wore a comfy black studded heel that is dressy and easy to walk in just in case you want to take your date further. In the end, what you wear isn't really the most important. I always say put in some effort into whatever you do and aim to be respectful to the person you are meeting and you will be on your way to a successful first date
Thanks for reading and I hope you can try out a ice cream shop for a cute first date idea! Good luck :) Don't forget to comment, share and follow me on Instagram, Chictopia and Lookbook for additional updates. Until next time stay chic and glam - xoxo Spirit
