Before we headed to dinner in downtown Osoyoos to our favourite Chinese restaurant- the Golden Chopstick, we chased down what was left of golden hour and did a quick photo shoot by Osoyoos Lake. Overlooking Nk'mip and the Spirit Ridge Resort in the North, the Watermark Beach Resort is a great alternative for larger groups or if you have kids. We stayed at their villa the last time we were here with our families and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is kid-friendly, offers a good gym and is located at the heart of downtown Osoyoos, which makes it super easy to hop into a pub or a casual restaurant if you are tired of fine dining in the area.
Since we are in the desert, I went with a subtle nod to the wild wild west. This technicolor stripped knit is super comfortable and versatile as it can be worn under a leather jacket or denim overalls. I love that the colours of the stripes are so bright and bold which makes it perfect for the late spring and early summer months. Pair this look with some distress denim and you are set to step foot in the wildest of lands and dreams.
A Western-inspired look doesn't always require a cowboy hat or boot, it can be subtle and not so thematic. If you want to bring a Midwest style back to the city, I suggest a simple change of your accessories and you are good to go. As you can see, I have been wearing this red bandana non-stop for this trip because you can tie it around your neck and even use it as a head scarf. Super chic and affordable, this little scarf is great to help you change up your outfits for the summer or if you want to add a Western feel. To complete the look, I added my trusted walking ankle faux suede booties and my a shoulder bag to the mix.
Wonderfully colourful and comfortable, this outfit is great for the coming months.
