I think with Valentine’s Day, we automatically assume it has to be pink, red or super sexy! However, I noticed that a lot of people are going either more casual or more trendy – something not of the normal textbook Valentines look. If that girl is you, then today’s look is perfect! Super fun, bold and feminine, this look is still ultra romantic but with a cool 90’s edge that would definitely make this Valentine’s Day the most memorable yet!
An alternative look calls for someone with ample confidence because to be different means you are extraordinary. With that, it often comes with criticism or misinterpretation which I think makes someone more unique and fun to be around. Sometimes fashion can have rules but as I gotten older, I realize fashion is platform that allows you to be you are and that no one style or trend is perfect for anyone. So this Valentine’s Day, I challenge you to not only experiment but also to think outside of the box and create a look that speaks to the heart.
Being a little weird and unconventional myself, I often look to the different for answers. But when I couldn’t find that answer, I looked in my closet and pulled out all the pieces that I didn’t think would go well together and created this amazing outfit. With that said, today’s look was mostly inspired by this flirty and fitting Red lipstick clutch that gave me so many great ideas. Perfect for the day of love how can one go wrong with a clutch shaped like a lipstick I thought? Surprisingly versatile, I tried this clutch on with a few dresses from classic to trendy and it all worked. But for today, I chose this satin slip dress because it’s sexy but when you put it over another velvet dress it becomes something wild and unimaginable. Finish this eccentric look off with a chic beret and sneakers and you are ready for a romantic date or date with special girlfriends and celebrate Galentine!
