This winter has been especially brutal and one of the coldest I have ever experienced! I think all of us here in North America can agree that we can’t wait for spring’s true arrival. So to help me prepare, I created a fresh navy and stripe look to get me into the spirit of when the flowers finally bloom.
Spring is an exciting time because it feels like a rebirth from the cold winter and we can come out to brighter days with lighter layers. That is why I love this striped cut-out shoulder sweater with a lovely lace crochet design across the collar bone and shoulders. This season-flexible sweater keeps it casual, weather-appropriate and super cute with a touch of ribbon details on the upper sleeves. When paired with spring’s latest patchwork denim style, you get a look that is effortless and ready to welcome spring with open arms.
With the crochet detailing of the sweater so intricate and patchwork culottes so unique, I think it is important to not over accessorize. Instead, I just went with a pair of oversized statement sunglasses that not only fit my round face-shaped perfectly but also adds a touch of 70’s glamour.
