Mixing patterns can sometimes be a tricky matter. But as long as you have similar color schemes, it will blend seamlessly together. For this accouterments, I mixed not only different patterns but different textures as well.
I really love this black Polka Dot Silk Shirt because it can function as a black blouse but its not so simple and boring. The polka dots are small enough where it doesn't overpower other items. Hence, it works perfectly with this floral abstract skirt. I also added a studded skinny belt to define my waist. To give the outfit more detail, I added a tweed jacket in the same color as the polka dot shirt so it wont be too distracting to the eyes.
For accessories, I chose these simple yet elegant earrings by Kenneth Jay Lane (which I wore for my wedding day) to compliment the shirt and skirt. For some fun, I added this beautiful snake skin fringe clutch which looks amazing when there is movement. Finally some oversize sunnies and blue strap heels to tie in with the skirt so everything is blended well together and nothing is out of place.
