Other than the off-the-shoulder trend that I'm obsessing over at the moment- I'm also super into floral maxi dresses. The reason why I love a great floral dress for spring and now into summer is because they make the perfect wedding guest attire. Lets face it, most of us have a wedding or two to attend during the summer and what a better way to invite wedding season than with florals? It is an easy and charming style that is both timeless and feminine and not to mention always appropriate.
To demonstrate this beautiful dress that I actually got last year during fall, we traveled to one of the most famous winery in the Okanagan region. A magnificent estate situated on top of a hill that overlooks the Okanagan lake,Mission Hill is a sight to be seen. With its grand architecture, view and vineyard, this winery serves as the perfect backdrop for this petal beauty. Elegant and sophisticated, this dark green chiffon floral dress is a delight to wear to a garden, country or vineyard wedding.
This dress in all its pulchritudinous form is a little hard to wear for my petite figure, so a belt is much needed to give me shape. Since this dress is a darker shade, I didn't want any colours to compete with it so I kept my accessories all along the same palette with only a slight gold detail on my clutch. I didn't think this outfit needed any jewelry but if you think that it might be too bare, some rose gold earrings and matching rings would do.
I hope you have enjoyed this look and do visit Mission Hill if you are in the area, as they have one of the best wine tasting tours around that is well worth your time and money.
