Something about lampposts always posses an enchanting and romantic quality about them. In the dark, they seem almost ethereal with their tawny glow flickering against the water and city lights. Today, we decided to do a night time shoot which proved to be both difficult but rewarding. As we stumbled onto the harbour before dinner, I saw this row of lamppost that I thought would be fitting to express the romance and mystery of the biker shearling jacket and to celebrate my dad's birthday.
Since dreary and cold November is upon us now, I thought it was time to bring out my warmest outerwear. I adore a great leather jacket and during wintertime, I update it to the shearling form to retain the cool and contemporary edge that I love during spring, summer and fall. Bursting with personality and practicality, shearling is typically tanned but since has gotten a few face lift to keep up with the time and trends. For a dressy feel, I wore a dark chocolate brown mini skirt and my vertical top for a spirited city vibe.
With shearling triumphant return this winter, I wanted to maintain the current 70's aesthetic and wore my vintage collared fringe necklace against the retro top. In wanting to convey the mystery of the night, I continued with a dark theme wearing my new favourite ankle suede booties and black bucket bag to keep the look easy and fashion forward.
Thanks so much for reading and I hope you try this night time look out for a lovely dinner with friends and family. Until next time stay glam and chic. Xoxo Spirit!
P.S: Happy Birthday Daddy I love you always
