The last from my trip to Kelowna and Osoyoos, this look is the one I am most excited to share with you. Incredibly memorable and one of the hardest shoots I have ever done, we were so glad that it turned out well. What happened was, we drove all the way up the mountain on a bumpy, unpaved road only to find out that the pace we wanted to go to was closed down. Apparently, they don't update their website and as I was feeling quite dejected, my resourceful husband was able to find another spot to take some photos. Standing high above this abandon skate park, in the blazing heat and with my heels overlooking the valley - it was truly a sight to be seen and we were so lucky to be able to capture a spontaneous and beautiful moment.
One of the biggest reason why I wanted to come here was because they had an amphitheater-like facility that reminded me of the Parthenon in Athens. Since this dress is Grecian-inspired, I thought it would be a perfect fit to illustrate its origin and beauty. But sometimes in life, as things go wrong or unplanned, it can also be a blessing in disguise. And in here, I was able to freely express the dress and showcase what I loved about it. The first thing that captured my attention was the gold chain details around the neck (that clips together in the back like a choker necklace) and key hole in the front. The gold hardware really adds a touch of strength to an otherwise romantic dress. But what sold me was the back where it would allowed you to reveal just the right amount to keep cool and appropriate at a wedding for example. Just add a little bronzer for that sun-kissed glow and you are ready to reveal your inner goddess.
For accessories I kept with the gold them and used my trusty wedding clutch by BCBG and these caged snake sandals which I love from Schutz. They really make very good quality shoes with a reasonable price. Since the chain on the dress already acted as a necklace I didn't feel as if I needed to incorporate anymore jewelry and kept it simple and clean.
Perfect for a summer wedding, this Grecian dress will make you feel strong like a warrior women but sexy and demure like the Goddess Aphrodite.
