Chances are if you see a vibrant, colourful bikini with bold stitching on a beach from your favourite blogger, influencer or celebrity, it was probably made by Craig Ellis and Erin Deering- the founder of the Australian swimwear brand Triangl (1). With 3 million followers on Instagram and adorned by the likes of Beyonce, Hailey Baldwin and Lucy Hale (wearing the same one as me), the brand was made more popular in 2013 when Kendall Jenner wore their suit on a friend’s Instagram post (2). I actually didn’t understand the popularity of these swimsuits until I received and unboxed my bikini on snapchat (username: glamouraspirit) and then I understood why it is so well received. Not only is it well made, high quality and hugged me in all the right places, the price tag of just under $100 dollars also made it that much more appealing. Now I have to admit I’m slightly obsessed, a fan and proud to add the hashtag #trianglgirl beside my name.
I wore this suit for the first time on my recent trip to the Sunshine Coast but it wasn't until this long weekend that I got the opportunity to shoot it. With some sunny breaks, I am able to finally share with you my review of the Brigitte-Moondance bikini that I have received awhile ago. At first, I wasn't brave enough to try out their brighter and funkier designs, so I chose this denim and crochet style with the pretty name instead. The package came speedily in their signature black box and I was blown away by the bright sporty feel, high quality stitching and the neoprene material when I opened it. Neoprene is a soft foam-like fabric that molds and shapes the body almost like how a pair of spanx would except in a swimwear form. Cleverly smoothing and supporting the body (3), the back is also a clasp that fastens which offers ample security and comfort. I also love that the cups padding are not removable because you don't have to worry about it moving around, being misplaced or lost when you wash it. The material is delicate so they recommend that you hand wash it gently in cold water and to lay it flat to dry which is super easy and preferred by me anyways.
This look actually took a long time to plan because I wanted to be more bikini ready and to gather the right accessories. I was lucky enough to receive some amazing products for this photoshoot and one of them is this gorgeous handmade message sun hat from Cecloset. A boutique based in San Francisco, they offer other great quality products with reasonable prices such as pom pom sandals and clothing. But this hat, which you can personalize with your own message caught my eye the most and for just under a $100 dollars it is a great steal and matched the bikini magnificiently. I also received this lovely Tea Tree Face Mist when I attended the opening of Aritaum in March and I have to say I can't live without it. Especially wonderful for after the sun, before I sleep for hydration or over my makeup for a dewy glow, this mist does wonders. Finally, no beach attire is complete without a dreamy embroidered kaftan, some retro sunnies and a fun floatie to end a relaxing day at the beach.
I want to THANK Triangl, Aritaum and Cecloset for partnering up with me on this special post.
