Welcome to November! I can't believe that the year is almost over where has the time gone? Looking back, I really miss summer because we have been getting so much rain here it feels like I'm living in a pool. Apparently, we had 28 days of rain out of the 31 days in October which is insane even for us here in Raincouver. So when there is a overcast (Yes it is that sad) I come out to shoot this fun top by www.stylewe.com and reminiscence about sunnier days!
Some of my favorite things to purchase each season are items that are easily adaptable and will convert nicely into each season. One such trend that emerged like the phoenix is theslip dress- with seemingly endless ways of styling and layering. Who would have thought a piece that was meant only for the bedroom can be so versatile and mainstream? With that said, what originally attracted me to this modern asymmetric sweater (yes its sweater season!), other than the amazing one-shoulder button detail is also its flexibility in pairing underneath this leather and lace slip dress. Even though both pieces are unique in their own category, this combination is uncomplicated and the black and white serves as a great contrast accentuating the other without rival. What is also great is that now you can imagine wearing this to the office by toning the sexy of the slip down with an oversized button up shirt or this bell sleeved sweater for example. Add a pair of furry loafers and you are now a fashion genius not faux pas.
To remind me of the distant summer, I combined this organic crescent clutch by Cult Gaia and these Yeezy-inspired Perspex heels by Public Desire in white trim. Never in a million year did I ever think I would be able to pull off a clear heel but after watching the Kardashians/Jenner clan strut them around and on the runway- I thought why not! It turns out a clear heels can be sexy, fashionable and also elegant depending on how you wear it. With this look, it shows that the world is your oysters so don’t be afraid to combine trends together to discover something new, exciting and super chic!
