Fashion: Elegant Winter Lace

Today's look was a leftover from my holiday edit that I was unable to share but because a white lace dress is so timeless and elegant, I thought it would be the perfect option for a winters bride look instead.  A great option not only for your engagement party or rehearsal dinner but it serves as  a fun after-party dress for you to  dance a long and beautiful day away, kiss underneath the moonlight and drive away with sparklers gleaming  behind you

I actually wore something very similar for my own wedding except it was Tadashi Shoji and a lot more expensive.  But of course I don't regret the purchase as it really made the night more memorable.  I love a short dress for the after party because you can really dance, let loose and get out of the heavy gown (and trust me you would want that).  I love lace but I am also picky with the kind of lace I choose because certain ones can seem quite cheap if you don't pick the right kind.  I really adore a scallop lace style because it looks so much expensive (when it really wasn't) and adds such an understated but elegant element to your whole wedding.  I love the black lining and Peter Pan collar which adds such a nice contrast and brings out the white and shape of the dress.  Since it is winter, I do recommend some stockings but if you are indoors than it should be fine with a great coat and some drinks!

To really jazz up the dress, I saw this beautiful fur stole at the J.Crew window and thought it was the perfect finishing touch for a glamourous night.  Incorporating a fur collar to any outfit for the winter really elevates it to another level and I also love that it keeps you warm.  For the ultimate classic bridal look, I love seeing the Manolo Blahnik Hangisi shoes in Satin Blue  and I think that would go beautifully with the winter white.  I don't own that specific pair so I wore these black patent Manolos instead which is also a nice option if you don't think you want to spend so much on shoes and it is something you can wear all the time.
