I can't believe that it is already April and even though the gardens are blooming and the sun is shinning more warmly, Spring is still very cold here in Vancouver. It is not until late April where we can embrace tee-shirts and maybe even go out without a jacket. While spring is certainly beautiful, it can be an awkward time to dress for and we can combat that problem with the art of layering.
For today's look, I entrusted my treasured check coat to help make me feel super posh and chic. This very English coat is perfect to throw over an embellished chiffon pale peachy top and frayed cropped denim. This outfit, although casual is still very put together so you can take off the coat if it gets too hot and reveal a beautiful top underneath. Great for going shopping, eating brunch or visiting the new Laduree store that opened, this ensemble will let you enjoy the yummy macaroons in style.
I ordered these Diane Von Furtensburg Suede Peep Toe heels in February and I have been saving them until the weather is less rainy to wear. Suede is tricky because they look so sophisticated and elegant but hard to maintain and to keep clean, especially in "Raincouver". However it doesn't stop me from purchasing these gorgeous shoes and I pretty much wear them with anything. I love that they are a comfortable height so I can walk for miles and in a gorgeous neutral vibrant tan brown colour that goes with everything. You will see me rocking these heels a lot under jeans, a denim midi skirt or even a dressier maxi dress for a special occasion.
I hope you have enjoyed this outfit and make sure to keep warm in the meantime!
