Nothing is more breathtaking than the view of a frozen lake and fresh snow blanketing the rolling hills and nearby trees. It really captures that winter wonderland moment that you always remembered as a kid. Since we have been getting plenty of snow lately, we wanted to showcase this amazing navy velvet dress in the most fanciful way against the most dream-like and beautiful backdrop.
One of the biggest holiday trends this year has undoubtedly been velvet and I was instantly attracted to this dress when I saw it. There something about this lush, romantic and sexy fabric that has taken centre stage in every fashionistas heart this season. This easy to wear fabric not only gives a sense of luxury and mystery but is also relatively inexpensive and comes in variety of style that makes it a perfect purchase for the holidays. With that said, I was especially drawn to this dress not only for the velvet material but also for the wrap style which I thought was very unique and sophisticated at the same time. It has a plunging neckline and slit detail that allows for exposure of skin but still leaves plenty to the imagination. With a wrap dress it can be tricky so I suggest wearing a bodysuit in black underneath or use plenty of double-sided tape to keep the dress in check.
Holiday wear this year has been pared down and people are going a more simplistic route as compared to before. But I always love GLAMOUR for the holidays and I couldn't help but add a little drama with my favourite brown fur stole and my new black friday finds. You have already seen my new Furla bag in my previous post but now I will introduce these amazing Aquazzura sexy thing cut-out booties which I also found on Black Friday via Net-a-porter. I actually purchased a orange pair last year but the heel was too short for me and was quite sadden that I had to return it. But this year I lucked out and found this gorgeous pair in eggplant purple that was just PERFECTION. If you have seen my instastory already (where I unboxed this beauty), you can see the amazing pineapple details in the back and of course the superbe Italian craftsmanship. You will be seeing plenty of this bag and shoe for my holiday edit so stay tuned. Finally no dramatic holiday wear is complete with jewelry, and this year I went for a trendy Galileo choker by Baublebar and a gorgeous silver cuff to finish off this look fit for any winter queen.
