I usually don't like to wear red during the year but come Christmas I am all about it! From the nails to the lips, you will see me in this fiery shade often. Not only does it really brighten my holidays but it also gives me that extra boost of confidence to enter any party that may arise.
I couldn't help but get myself another red dress this holiday because it is just so festive and appropriate. And I especially adore this asymmetrical dress which is formal enough to be considered a gown but also allows a petite person like me to show some legs. If you think that an all red look is too much you can simply add a grey blazer and a belt to give your outfit some dimension and character. I think the biggest tip I have on wearing red for Christmas or New Years is to keep your accessories simple and allow this statement shade to shine on its own. However, I always recommend you bring out your best accessories so include your sparkly minaudiere or designer shoes to really complete your holiday look.
Back in November, I was invited to the R + Co press launch in Vancouver and I was gifted with some amazing products to try. Their products are a collective effort some of the most forward-thinking, rule-bending hairstylists in the business such as Garren, Thom Priano and Howard McLaren (whom I got to meet and was super lovely and candid). All of them have credentials that are beyond imaginable and have worked with the likes of Vogue, Bumble and Bumble, Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss and Lady Gaga. Since I love wearing curls for the festive season, I thought their products would be amazing to give me volume, texture, shine and hold. My favourite would be the moisture shine crème because it helps with the frizz, fly always and on top of that it smells divine - perfect for a lady in red!
