With September just around the corner, Vogue, Harper Bazaar and other major fashion magazines are covering the latest fall fashion. However, it is hard to think about layers, knits and scarves when August is still a very hot month. Whether you are grabbing sushi, having a drink or watching your favourite summer flick, it can still be difficult to stay chic and cool at the same time.
This past year we have seen a fierce rebirth of the Fringe. Designers such as Chloe, Burberry and Saint Laurent are bringing this spirited piece back with a vengeance . From eye-catching pencil skirts, luxe suede booties, to designer handbags, it is very safe to say that we will likely be seeing more of this trend on the runway.
When I first saw this sweater vest, it instantly reminded me of that 70's Show with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. I am not sure if I was more attracted to the gorgeous mustard yellow, the beautiful bejeweled neckline detail or the fact that it will be great piece through the fall and even into holiday dressing. But what I do know is that whenever you wear this decorative vest, you will most definitely be the centre of attention.
Today's look is all about playing with proportions and colors. Since the seventies is so on trend these past two seasons, this tan colored cropped jacket is a perfect balance to the long flare jeans.
